My journey with AmeriPlan was unplanned but has been amazing. You see, I went to college to be a Elementary Teacher and that's what I thought I was going to do all my days. But, the Lord had different plans for me. I found out I was pregnant with our first child. Boy was I excited. I never thought that I would want to be a stay at home mommy until I looked into those precious blue eyes of my newborn son and I knew that I wanted to be the one to raise this child. I did reluctantly go back to work after maternity leave to finish out the school year like I had previously promised our principal. But time off in the summer was just what I needed to see that the Lord wanted me home with my baby.
Behind the scenes my mom had been talking with different people about different possiblities for me so I could stay at home. She found a lady at her church with a daughter-in-law that had been working at home and really enjoying it. My mom gave me all the contact information so I could check it out myself. I immediately called her and met Jocelyn Wiebe. She was so kind and answered all my 101 questions. I knew that this was the opportunity for me and jumped aboard.
The biggest drawing points for me was that as an Independent Business Owner my family would get the Dental Package for free which includes: Dental, Vision, Chiropractic, and Prescription. This was fantastic because we didn't have any coverage.
I started AmeriPlan in August of 2007. I have met the most amazing people and am so glad I made that first phone call!
I love being able to stay at home with my son, Preston. He is such an amazing little boy and I am so thankful for AmeriPlan.
